Keith Bowen was born in Wrexham and studied graphic design at Manchester Polytechnic. He was elected to the Royal Cambrian Academy in 1992. Keith exhibits regularly at the Richard Hagen Gallery, Worcestershire and the Open Eye Gallery, Edinburgh and the National Portrait Gallery, London. He is the author and illustrator of "Snowdon Shepherd" and "Among the Amish". In 1986 he was awarded First Prize Gold Medal for Fine Art at the Royal National Eisteddfod of Wales. He deigned 'Welsh Bible' and 'Wintertime' stamps for the Royal Mail. In 1997 he was awarded Honorary Fellowship to the North East Institute of Higher Education University of Wales. His work was chosen for "North Wales at its Best" touring show selected by Lady Anglesey and for the 2004 Centenary of the Royal Welsh Show Exhibition "Farming and the Welsh Landscape".
